HOW WE PUSH YOUR TEEN'S RESET BUTTON

The Process: News

TRIPLE SCREENING

Screening

A lot of programs will simply “tell you what you want to hear”in order to book the enrollment. Not at RESET!
Every family's situation is unique and will be thoroughly assessed, first by our Executive Director, then by the RESET Clinical Director, and finally, by the on-site Therapist who will be working directly with each camper.
This is done to ensure that your teen is in the proper environment, with like-challenged campers, all working toward the same goals.

DIGITAL DETOX

Detox

When campers arrive, they check-in their electronic devices and undergo an intensive program of Detox and Reintegration.
We set the foundation for healthy living, personal responsibility and social interaction.
It isn't until later in the program that we begin to revisit their devise usage, be it smart phones, Xbox, social media, etc ...
Campers learn how to self-regulate and prioritize their time.

LIFE SKILLS & COMMUNITY

Life Skills

Being part of a close community provides an opportunity to learn important social skills, which are critically needed to navigate through life. Campers at RESET live in college dorms with roommates, where they become accountable for themselves, and to each other, giving everyone a sense of purpose and mutual regard for community cooperation.
Room assignments change weekly (on purpose) to give campers a taste of uncertainty during such a change, all while in a controlled environment.

SUMMER CAMP FUN

Beach

Campers participate in a wide range of activities while at Reset. We take full advantage of the college amenities available at each campus and in each region. Campers may enjoy zip-line and high ropes challenge courses, surfing, wilderness hiking and archery. When available, campers may also participate in STEAM activities with hosting professors like physics, theatre, music, art and sports.

FAMILY WEEKEND

Family

Every session at RESET culminates with the Family Weekend. Parents join us on for the last 3 days. This time is filled with education and resources about what each teen has experienced during camp.
Parents and their teens participate in crafting a mutual Behavioral Contract to help establish a roadmap for success once they return home.

THERAPEUTIC AFTER CARE

Follow-Up

One thing that sets RESET apart from other summer camp and therapeutic programs is our personalized after-care program.
Our staff of clinical interns contacts EVERY camper, once a week for a full 8 weeks AFTER they complete the summer session.
Working in concert with the camper's parents and any existing mental and/or medical health care professionals, RESET staff provide a steady lifeline back to a time of positive success and stability.
